We grew up here. We played on the Cape’s beaches, we swam in the sound and in the bay, and we savored every hour of the late summer sun. Most importantly, we ate. Burgers, lobster rolls, clam rolls, hot dogs, onion rings, shakes, ice cream…we love the Cape’s iconic food. We created the knack with one purpose in mind: to share the food that we grew up with, the food that hits the spot after a day at the beach, the food that defines summers on Cape Cod. Our goal is to perfect the Cape Cod roadside stand. By partnering with local fishermen, we provide you the best, freshest seafood. We work with a local butcher to serve you our own delicious burger blend that we grind in-house daily. We buy produce from Cape farms to bring you local, seasonal vegetables. Everything is made in-house. We make our own sauces, developed specifically for each of our sandwiches. We batter our seafood with the homemade recipe our grandparents developed over sixty years ago. Our onion rings are hand-cut. The cookies for our ice cream sandwiches are homemade. And the list goes on and on… We seek out the community of discerning eaters, of fellow hungry beach dwellers, lovers of Cape Cod food. You will taste the difference that our fresh, local and homemade take on Cape classics brings. We will only be happy if you walk away from a meal at the knack thinking to yourself, “These guys? They have a knack for that…”
